Eva GT

Morgan – the oldest English independent motor-car manufacturer, has started to accept an advance payment ($7 315) for the newest sport car – four-seater sport coupe Eva GT. The car, will appear on sale only in second half of 2012, but, considering its scanty circulation in 100 cars, to hasten with the order costs already now.

Unlike other models Morgan, some of which were issued before Second World War and by means of numerous modernisations could live up to now, sport coupe Eva GT is entirely developed by special computer programs. In particular, developers have given special attention to aerodynamics and passive safety. At the heart of the car slightly extended platform of model Aero Supersports that is caused by occurrence additional two passenger places. Under a cowl three litre "six" BMW capacity of 306 h.p. (400 Nm) will settle down. Engineers Morgan have decided to refuse Bavarian 4,4-litre "eight" so favourite by them as at loss in capacity hardly less than 20 h.p. managed to be won considerably in weight and profitability.

Dispersal to first hundred occupies 4,5 sec, and the maximum speed makes 273 km/h. Thus fuel consumption in the commixed cycle, according to Englishmen, will not exceed seven litres on hundred kilometres of run. And thanks to a spatial frame from aluminium and to aluminium body panels according to which the car will weigh only 1250 kg.

The official debut of the car will take place on August, 15th at exhibition Pebble-Beach Concourse d'Elegance that will pass the Pebbl-scourge in the Californian small town. Final price of the car will be named there.

Mini brand new cars

Despite one of the worst U.S. auto sales slumps in more than a decade, the BMW-owned Mini brand is on a roll. The Mini Cooper hatchback offers the best of both worlds in the white-hot compact segment -- a car that's both tossable and fuel-efficient. Mini's U.S. dealers are selling nearly every Cooper and turbocharged Cooper S they can get into showrooms. In addition, the well-received Cooper Clubman variant -- which arrived in the midst of the recent gas-price crisis -- has just joined the Mini lineup.
The slightly larger, second-generation Mini was all-new for 2007, so not surprisingly the 2009 Mini Cooper lineup isn't changing too much, save for a couple updates. Those seeking the open-top Mini experience will have to wait, however; the Cooper convertible remains on hiatus until the version based on the updated model arrives sometime next year.

For 2009, the automaker's relatively simple lineup continues: the Cooper and the performance-themed Cooper S version of its three-door hatch (the larger Clubman shares the same model designations). Just two engines are offered: a base, 1.6L four-cylinder mounted over the front axle making 120 hp and 118 lb-ft of torque and a version of the same mill fitted with a twin-scroll turbocharger in the Cooper S, bumping power to 172-hp and 177 lb-ft of torque.
A base Cooper can reach 60 mph in approximately 8.5 sec with a top speed of 126 mph while the S does 6.7 sec and 139 mph, numbers made more impressive when considering the Mini's EPA fuel-economy ratings of 28 city/37 highway and 26/34, respectively. Both models do require premium gas, however. A six-speed manual transmission is standard on the Cooper and Cooper S, while each car also can be ordered with a six-speed automatic featuring a sport mode and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Famed for its "go-kart" handing, the 2009 Mini Cooper continues to offer a responsive suspension featuring MacPherson-style spring struts on the front axle, a central-arm rear axle, and anti-roll bars to aid performance. The S takes these principles even further with harder springs, stiffer shocks and anti-roll bars, and larger vented disc brakes to give the company's go-fast model serious canyon-carving credentials, especially for a front-drive car. For 2009, the brand's DSC stability-control system is now standard on all Minis, with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) an available option. Essentially a sportier version of DSC, the DTC system adjusts its level of interference during spirited maneuvers to maintain safety, while still allowing a good amount of driving fun. Base Cooper owners can also order up an optional sports suspension.

You might surely have come across many electric bikes so far but the one pictured above outshines them as greatest does to least. Hailed as 2010 MotoCzysz E1pc, the bike is not merely another technically impressive electric motorcycle, but the most advanced two-wheeler ever made. Integrated by Michael Czysz while using MotoGP-level thinking, MotoCzysz E1pc features the most electric drive technology yet seen with engineering solutions.

The bike is to take part in the Isle of Man’s TT Zero electric motorcycle race – the toughest one in the world and has already clocked a 94.6 MPH lap, tantalizingly close to the 100 MPH goal. The electric bike features ten 19.5 pound lithium polymer battery packs, incredibly diminutive tail section and the huge swingarm. That means the bike packs 10 times the battery capacity of a Toyota Prius and 2.5 times the torque of a Ducati 1198.

The other features this most advanced electric bike include ten lithium polymer batteries without wires for easy swaps, an oil-cooled electric motor especially developed from the ground up to win races and a top speed 140 MPH so far. E1pc Superbike has a 100hp electric motor with a torque density of 250+ lb ft. The MotoCzysz motor can deliver a continuous 75kW (100hp) and is 93% efficient under continuous heavy load (140C).

Ingenuity knows no bounds and here is an instance that shows humans have a never die urge to explore. See this object and you will surely take it for a moving shrub but it’s a solar electric powered car, mind you. As per its looks, the vehicle is named as the Terrestrial Shrub Rover and is disguised as a well-manicured shrub. Designed and built by Jason Shull, the Shrub Rover is powered by plug-in solar electricity and is underpinned by a compact go-kart frame with a fiberglass dome and glued on faux foliage. And to give the driver view of the outside road, the amazing vehicle features three outward facing LCD cameras (or about 300 of these mini-cams) to assist and give the occupant a lot more fun than a normal car. Hit the jump to checkout more images and a video to see Shrub Rover in action.

Mercedes is already one of the most technologically advanced auto brands and provides its customers with all that luxury and equipments that they want or can really think about. However, designer Felipe Palermo envisions a Mercedes Benz concept that fits well in 2050. Inspired by old Silver Arrows, Slr Mclaren, and the 1954 Gull-wing, Mercedes-Benz Arrow concept is based on the idea that people at that time won’t use cars but rail systems. Therefore, the concept is especially designed as recreational vehicle for fun on the weekends. The concept has been designed with the aim to draw comparison with other leisure vehicles such as motorcycles, jet skis, and personalized aircraft. The layout for Mercedes-Benz Arrow concept is done by TANDEM, the vehicle works with MAGLEV system that helps the vehicle to take on the sharp curves. The vehicle will have tires that will never wear out because they can simply be re-injected with rubber.
